Governor David Paterson to appear on SNL

The New York Times is reporting that New York governor David Paterson is set to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Paterson, who has been portrayed by Fred Armisen on the show and is the subject of many Weekend Update sketches, did not confirm or deny the rumours.  Guess we'll see tomorrow night!

Seth Meyers to host ESPYS 2011

It has been announced that SNL Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers will once again host the ESPYs in 2011. Meyers hosted the ESPYs earlier this summer to much acclaim and will host a live show once again. The ESPYS 2011 will air on ESPN on July 13 2011.

SNL cast to appear on Larry King Live

This week's host Amy Poehler, cast members Seth Meyers, Kristen Wiig, Fred Armisen, Andy Samberg and head honcho Lorne Michaels will all appear on Larry King Live on Friday. The show airs at 9ET/6PT on CNN.

SNL Announces Musical Guests

In a press release issued by NBC, it was revealed that Kanye West and Bruno Mars will be musical guests for episodes 36.2 and 36.3. Kanye West will be musical guest on Bryan Cranston's show while Bruno Mars will guest on Jane Lynch's show. 
I find it interesting that Kanye has opted to appear on SNL, given that he gave the show a not-so-nice shout out in his song, "Power". Perhaps he'll be worked into another sketch? I'm excited for his performance nonetheless.

October 9 - Jane Lynch/Bruno Mars

Jon Hamm to host SNL October 30

Jon Hamm announced on last night's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon that he would be hosting the October 30 edition of Saturday Night Live. This will be Hamm's third stint hosting in as many seasons.
That's the second hosting announcement made in the last few days and I have to say, I'm liking how this season is shaping up! Poehler, Cranston, Lynch, Stone and Hamm? Perfect!

Emma Stone hosting SNL October 23

Emma Stone officially confirmed rumours on last night's edition of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that she will be hosting SNL October 23. The actress, who is earning stellar reviews for her turn in Easy A, has long expressed a desire to host Saturday Night Live and while doing press in Toronto this past weekend, she had hinted that she would be hosting SNL this season.
Very excited for this one - I think Stone has tons of potential to be great host! No word on musical guest yet. 

Newly departed SNL cast member Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis took to the stage to celebrate the sixth anniversary of Seth Herzog's SWEET show at The Webster Hall Studio and reprised their much-loved SNL sketch Jon Bovi. Check it out in the video above.

Seth Meyers to guest on The Martha Stewart Show

Seth Meyers is slated to appear as a guest on The Martha Stewart Show on September 28. Just FYI, The Martha Stewart Show will begin airing at 10a/9c on The Hallmark Channel from September 13 on along with encore airings at 4/3c and 5/4c. 

Rumour - Emma Stone to host SNL?

While doing press for Easy A in Toronto, Stone very coyly batted away questions regarding hosting SNL at some point, leading a USA Today reporter to believe that Emma Stone will be hosting an upcoming episode of SNL at some point. It’s not exactly hard to believe - Stone has been very vocal in articulating her desire to host SNL and is drawing lots of attention for her star-making performance in Easy A. My guess is that she’ll be hosting it at some point in mid-October, while buzz for Easy A is still fresh.
