Amy Poehler/Katy Perry - Thoughts

Post your thoughts on tonight's show after it's aired! Was Amy Poehler awesome or awesome in a hosting capacity? Did NY Governor David Paterson show up? Any special guests? Most importantly, how did the newbies (Vanessa Bayer, Taran Killam, Paul Brittain and Jay Pharoah fare?)

Comment, comment, comment!
My review will be posted tomorrow.

Bill Hader Interview | TV Squad

Check out this interview with Bill Hader on TV Squad in which he discusses the new season and Stefon.
Interesting factoid - John Mulaney writes the Stefon pieces with Bill. Who knew?

Bobby Moynihan promoted to repertory player on SNL

So, I was just reading this article about Bobby Moynihan visiting his old high school and came upon this sentence -
"It was the weirdest thing in the world,” says Moynihan, recently promoted to repertory player on “SNL,” whose 36th season premieres tonight on NBC. "
HUZZAH! Very excited for Bobby - it was about time!

Governor David Paterson to appear on SNL

The New York Times is reporting that New York governor David Paterson is set to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend. Paterson, who has been portrayed by Fred Armisen on the show and is the subject of many Weekend Update sketches, did not confirm or deny the rumours.  Guess we'll see tomorrow night!

SNL Announces Musical Guests

In a press release issued by NBC, it was revealed that Kanye West and Bruno Mars will be musical guests for episodes 36.2 and 36.3. Kanye West will be musical guest on Bryan Cranston's show while Bruno Mars will guest on Jane Lynch's show.
I find it interesting that Kanye has opted to appear on SNL, given that he gave the show a not-so-nice shout out in his song, "Power". Perhaps he'll be worked into another sketch? I'm excited for his performance nonetheless.

So those shows are -
October 2 - Bryan Cranston/Kanye West
October 9 - Jane Lynch/Bruno Mars
