Kristen Wiig joins The Comedian

Kristen Wiig has reportedly joined the cast of Sean Penn's upcoming directorial feature, "The Comedian". Wiig will star alongside legendary thespian Robert De Niro in the film, which tells of a has-been comic sentenced to community service for headbutting a heckler. While there, he falls in love with Harmony, a woman who turns his life upside down. While it has yet to be confirmed, it is expected that Wiig will play Harmony.

Jason Sudeikis joins "Dog Fight"

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jason Sudeikis has joined the cast for the upcoming political comedy "Dog Fight". He joins the previously announced Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis. The script comes from Shawn Harwell (Eastbound & Down) and Chris Henchy (The Other Guys) and is slated to be directed by Jay Roach (Meet The Parents). Galifiankis and Ferrell will produce the film, alongside Jay Roach and Adam McKay. Filming will start in November with a view to releasing the comedy next August.
