ATTN: Portland Residents -

Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein of IFC’s hit comedy Portlandia cast a spotlight on the city of rose’s local feminist bookstore In Other Words with their deadpan portrayal of two feminist store clerks. This summer they’re returning to the bookstore in an even more important role— to help keep the doors of the store open by transitioning it into a feminist community center.
Fred and Carrie are hosting an In Other Words Fundraising Event on Saturday, August 20th at 6:30pm. Join them as they auction off a walk-on role in season two of Portlandia, tickets to see Carrie’s band Wild Flag, a voicemail greeting from Fred and much more.
Tickets are $20-$40. [via]
