Ryan Phillippe/Ke$ha

What did you guys think of last night's show? Favourite sketch? Least favourite sketch? How did Phillippe fare? How did dollar-sign girl do?

commenting here because i'm not on tumblr (i subscribe to your tumblr via google reader)... people probably unfollowed you because they do not care who your crushes (many of whom have 0 connection to SNL) are.

just a thought

btw, i love your tumblr and i read it everyday. if i had a tumblr, i'd definitely follow it.

anyways, i was pretty disappointed by the show last night. i know that ryan phillippe isn't exactly a comedy superstar, but he didn't do ANYTHING of note. it didn't help that almost all the sketches were recycled sketches from previous episodes (really? you need to do the ESPN sketch a 5TH TIME?), and even the ones that weren't seemed like the writers were half-assing it.

haha sorry for the rambling comment.

p.s. ke$sha is insane. in a bad way.

Well, given that they unfollowed this morning in the midst of an SNL spam/discussion, I'm gonna say no that's not it. I don't really see what the problem in posting pictures of people I like on it. I spend a lot of time maintaining both of these blogs, (even in the midst of all the exams and orals that I'm doing at the moment) and frankly if I want to post pictures of some celebrities I like, I'm going to do it.

I mean, sorry, if everything on my Tumblr isn't SNL-related, but this blog is always here & its 100% devoted to SNL.

RE- Julian
I completely agree about using that many recurring sketches. I'm not the biggest fan of the ESPN sketches to begin with - Forte & Sudeikis do a great job in it, but its essentially the same joke. I haven't seen the entire show yet, but I'm not that excited by what I've seen. The Digital Short was just off and there was no real premise to it. It kind of seemed like Sergio in a way in that the guy was being haunted by another guy, but Sergio was far better. On the plus side, the production value was great. Hip Hop Kids was just an unnecessary sketch to reprise. I actually liked the Breakfast at Tiffany's/Tea Party sketch - well-written & sufficiently "ohhh"-inducing.
My full review will be up tomorrow!

good god i even share your crushes on most of those guys. no need to be so defensive. i wasn't criticizing you - just suggesting why people might unfollow. and i don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that there'd be a delay from the crush-posting to the unfollowing.

so no need to fake apologize for not being 100% SNL on your tumblr. never said it was a problem; just threw out a hypothesis.

i'm very impressed with the amount of time you spend on these and usually enjoy them very much.

And I was just apologising? Wasn't anything fake/defensive about it. Your initial comment came off as critical and I was merely justifying myself to you or any male readers who aren't interested in my crushes. I'm glad you like my blogs & I hope that you keep reading them.

"I mean, sorry" - took that as fake. my apologies.

It wasn't the bomb, but it was fairly amusing.
