Hollywood Hotel's Very SNL Greeting | NY Times

From NY Times -
How many businesses can boast that their holiday video greeting card was made by a “Saturday Night Live” threesome?
In September, the boutique Sunset Tower Hotel, an entertainment industry hangout in West Hollywood, Calif., already had holiday card plans on its mind to send to its list of 5,000 customers. Trying to come up with something unique, the hotel’s owner, Jeff Klein, decided to ask Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone if they would make a video for him.
The three have been writing and performing sketches together since junior high but now work for “S.N.L.” They have been behind now-classic viral videos like “Lazy Sunday” and “Motherlover.” The three New York comedians, who use the hotel as their California home base, agreed.
The one-minute video is reminiscent of their hit 2008 short, “Andy Popping Into Frame,” in which Mr. Samberg suddenly appears in mundane footage shot on the streets of Manhattan. Instead of starring Mr. Samberg, the Sunset Tower video features Dimitri Dimitrov, Mr. Klein’s maître d’hôtel.
Mr. Klein declined to say if he had paid the entertainers to make the video, but added that “we always take great care of those boys when they stay with us.”
