What did you guys think of the Rep Joe Wilson sketch? Did we get to see newbies Jenny Slate & Nasim Pedrad in action? Were the jokes sharp?

Yes, it was sharp. Loved the show, especially the cold opening sketch, and the "Really" segment on Weekend Update. No newbies yet, but I figure Lorne will work them in slowly.
Bill Hader as James Carville was hilarious!
It was really good. That was a great cold open. I really prefer Seth and Amy at the desk to just Seth so it was good to have her back and doing another Really segment together.
I guess this episode kinda confirms that Derrell is back for this season.
I'm looking forward to more Weekend Update Thursdays already, not to mention the season premiere (even if it is hosted by Megan effing Fox).
btw, I'm new to this blog...I've never encountered another high school girl really into comedy writing/SNL...it's an honor.
I was so excited about seeing Seth after such a long time, I kinda missed it all the first time.
Then on repeat - Really?! was awesome. And I liked the technical glitch, looked like it kond of relaxed them. And the beginning was good. And, oh, it was all good.
