EW's Michael Ausiello has once and for all shot down the rumour that Kristen Wiig is set to join Seth Meyers on the Weekend Update desk. A source from within the show insists that it is an internet-fuelled rumour and that there is no truth to it.

Finally, this annoyning rumor is put to rest. I knew it wasn't true.
Seth should remain the solo anchor of Weekend Update. He proved to be great by himself after Amy's departure, and I have high hopes for him at the Update desk in season 35.
